2013 NBA Draft

Didn't see a Thread here for the draft so I thought I'd throw one up:

Thoughts on who may go 1-5? Being a Pistons fan with huge potential with their big guns, I hope they draft an actually PG who can handle the ball, and develop with the rest. I really am only looking at the top 10 picks and then turning it off. I can't stand the NBA but a Draft is a Draft and it is always awesome to see kids get to walk across their stage and realize their dream is coming true.

So back to the Draft....Who is your 1-5?

I'm going with:
1. CLE - Nerlens Noel
2. ORL - Ben McLemore
3. WSH - Otto Porter
4. CHA - Alex Len
5. PHX - Victor Oladipo

The top 5 is pretty much a toss up this year. I'm excited to see who the Cavs pick 1st overall!

I have seen Oladipo in person and I have also watched his stock rise. I think Orlando may pick Oladipo but here is my top 5 since i forgot to list it:

1. Cleveland - Nerlens Noel
2. Orlando - Ben McLemore
3. Washington - Otto Porter
4. Charlotte - Alex Len *Seems to be a given*
5. Phoenix - Victor Oladipo.
6. New Orleans - Trey Burke
7. Sacramento - Anthony Bennet
8. Detroit - Michael Carter-Williams *Please don't eff this pick up Pistons! This is my hometown team and you need a stellar PG! I hope Burke falls to 8*
9. Minnesota - Cody Zeller
10. Portland - Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

Keep in mind this is barring any trades. As they are unpredictable. Rumors have it:
1. Minnesota looking to get up to spot 5 to acquire Oladipo.
2. Pistons have an outside chance to move up although very doubtful *possible trade of Knight*
3. Bennett added 20 lbs in the offseason but Washington seems to be headed towards him but Porter stock has risen the past week.

I'm surprised to see the Pistons pass on Trey Burke since he went to Michigan

This is great for Canada! Finally get a Canadian picked 1st! This is a crazy draft, really feel bad for Noel because of what he was expecting. Also Obama's pick did not come through as the Bulls past the pick by. Crazy crazy draft! Hopefully this is like the NHL draft on sunday!

I am so upset with the Pistons on so many levels...This was the last straw and I'm done. I don't understand what is going on in their stupid heads.

It sounds like they're going to resign Calderon which is great, one of the best pure passers in the league. Now with MCW, they can get an actual scorer for him to pass to. The Pistons already have a great back court with Monroe-Drummond. They're not going to make the playoffs but from a basketball perspective, this wasn't a bad pick by any stretch. MCW is a great shooting guard.

I see the point with a Pure shooter. IT appears the with Mo as their coach they have hopped on the wagon of him helping Brandon Knight otu as a PG. Actually, it appears they may not be resigning Calderon. Word around Detroit is this is what will happen: Knight as PG, KCP as SG, SF you fill in, and then Monroe and Drummond as their back court. It wasn't a horrible pick after rethinking it. I just have to figure, passing up on a Hometown guy, who won College player of the year. It just appears as if they are looking as Knight tobe their PG of the future. KCP is good don't get me wrong, but if you look at the now. I think trying to sell tickets and games out, they should have went to Burke as the choice. Also wanted to point out I wish they would have tried to trade up to get Mcemore. I think he was one of the best prospects in this draft, and with their Cap Space i am surprised they didn't make a move at the draft.

Lots of injury concerns with a bunch of the top end potential talent in this draft as well as no clear consensus #1 led to some craziness.

Noel getting traded, Burke getting traded, the big Canadian getting traded.

Good for Drummond, and if we can go back to back #1's with Wiggins next year, it is a great sign for the future of Basketball Canada

I was in shock when Bennett went first. I thought for surehe would drop low. Will the NHL Draft look like this? Where they choose someone who wasn't on anybody's radar...?!?

Was also shocked to see Bennett go 1st. Definitely thought it was gonna be Nerlens.

Really didn't want the Celtics to get Olynyk. He was literally the only player I didn't want. I don't really have a reason, I just really don't like him. Hopefully my mind will change as the season goes on. :P

Really wanted Shabazz. :P
