No kidding...I get frustrated but it seems every time I do, something good happens and a collector or two remind me that there are still some good ones in the hobby.

The new pickups looks great, especially that dual SOTT. Great story, too. This is what the hobby is all about! Collectors helping collectors. Can't wait for more!

It's been a little while since I've had an update but I'll have a few over the next couple of weeks. Here's the first:

Sometimes I should make sure I’m adding two plus two. #Mailday

Great custom card! Little unique adds like that really stand out in a PC, and make them stand apart from the rest. Maybe not in terms of value, but customs add that little extra something that the collector can enjoy. Another great blog post!

Great PC! I had the opportunity to see him play here in Niagara for the IceDogs. And attended the same highschool as him. He was a nice kid and I always loved the way he played.

Thought about PCing him, but decided to go with Dougie instead. Shaw is easily one of my favourite 'less skilled' (so to speak) players.

I know I have the gallery, but I see a lot of others taking pics of their player PCs together, so I decided to do that this evening while the wifey had the boy at the waterpark.

As of now, I have 92 of 125 Andrew Shaw cards in the SCF inventory. This number INCLUDES 1/1s. I do have another printing plate on the way though. Also, there's a guy that is going to sell me his Cup Flag Tag /5. There are only eight cards of his I don't have that aren't a 1/1. Of those eight, one is /3, one is /5 (the Flag Tag) and one is /10. Others are Score Black Ice or Alt backs and the OPC Blank backs.

Anyway, I thought y'all might like. I also have more base cards and "other" items (auto'd pucks, bobbleheads and an autographed Sports Illustrated). They are pictured in my flickr gallery.

Impressive! I really like it when collectors showcase their collection all at once. Really goes to show how much goes into collecting a particular player, and it also looks great too :D

Keep up the great work with your Shaw PC!

A couple of things to share today.

The first one is a mailday pickup: Another Super (Script) #Mailday for #TheAndrewShawProject

This one stems from Jason (the only other current writer on our blog) and I discussing our player supercollections. It's gotten a lot of traffic since it was posted earlier. It really seems to be something that other collectors enjoy reading about and seeing: Supercollecting Q & A with Jason Dean Martin & Kin Kinsley

Hope y'all enjoy the reads. Again, thanks for all the comments on my posts. It's really good to know that there are others that share the passion.

So, there was a beginning to all this madness. I saw this today and felt I had to share:

It looks like I spaced on posting this first one. I thought that I had lost this card forever, but luckily I got a second chance at it!

1-of-1 #Mailday for #TheAndrewShawProject

This one isn't a mailday, but it's a rant. It involves player super collecting and specifically something with my Shaw PC.

Something in the hobby that I just can’t comprehend…

Outstanding job! I am a big Shaw fan myself; really fun to read your posts and look at your PC.
I am from outside Chicago, and there is a nice shop in Gurnee Illinois that has a lot of nice 8x10 Autos.
Let me know if you are interested and I'll see what he has next time I'm there.

It's been awhile since I've had a mail day for the Shaw PC. I picked this up from a trader that is on here as well as Sports Card Forum.
